    Description:

    AIMTB Assay is based on the principle of IGRA and enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) to detect IFN-γ secretion from specific antigen stimulated T Cells. The stimulation antigen using in this assay are derived from ESAT-6 and CFP-10, and constructed such a way mimicking the nature occurring forms. Both ESAT-6 and CFP-10 are secreted proteins which are not found in BCG, and do not exist in most non-tuberculosis mycobacteria. ESAT-6 and CFP-10 antigen can stimulate T memory cells to proliferate and release cytokines such as IFN-γ.
